Bible Study

I just have to say a quick word about how grateful I am for the group of men and women that Steve and I have had fellowship with for the last 7 years. We are all so different, and yet we still manage to learn to live out loving each other.

I was so appreciative tonight of the out loud reading of big chunks of scripture. We are going through Ezekiel, which probably sends chills up most peoples' spines, but we are having some incredible discussion, and the out-loud reading for 30-45 minutes is so valuable.

So Kudos to my family away from family!

We miss you guys SO MUCH. Last night we met for the second time ever with our "new" small group, a multigenerational, different stage of life conglomeration of people we're just getting to know. There's excitement and hope, of course, about what's to come for us within this group, but, honestly, at this point, I'm pretty focused on all the work it takes to get to the point you are now in your group. (And where we'd be if we were still there with you :( Missing you a bunch today...

Now THAT is a picture worth considering! What would that look like? Who would have control of the conch? Would we set up a little way of governing? It would be like our little commune. Greg and Steve could build us a hut, Denise could cook, Eric and Christi could teach the kids, you could chronicle the events on banana leaves...

I'm so glad I get to cook. I hope you like fried snails and BBQ bamboo shoots.
