Hard to talk about Christmas Cookies when it's 75 degrees out...
But I would love to know what kind people like the best. I was thinking about doing a baking day with a friend this year. I like sugar cookies the best, and Steve's mom's peanutbutter blossoms are super yum, too (peanut butter cookie with a Hershey's kiss in the middle). I hate anything with nuts, so I won't make them. But I'd love to know what else people like.

My mom used to make Billy Goats, date cookies. They are so soft and chewy, and most people like them even if they don't like dates. My mom's recipe is a little different that the ones online, but I'd be happy to pass it on if you're interested.
chocolate crinkles...and you don't even have to cook them. I like the dough the best. :-)
Hi Jenn,
Have you ever been to or hosted a holiday cookie exchange? I've been to a few in the past years and enjoyed them. As much as I love to bake I keep thinking that I should host one some time, maybe we should do one together... Everyone comes with a designated amount of cookies baked and recipie cards printed to share, then everyone puts their cookies out on the table. Next everyone moves around the table and takes samples of everyone else's cookies with recipies and you go home with like a 3 doz assortment of everyone's favorite holiday cookies- and hey,I'm sure your hubby will eat the ones you don't like. Fun stuff!
Hugs,

Hey, Amy VB! (My sister-in-law's initials are the same so it always throws me for a loop when I see that.)
I have heard of a cookie exchange. Sounds like fun, though borders a bit on organized fun. =) I'm not a Party Lites or Tupperware girl, and shy away from shower games. That, and with lucy no longer taking a bottle, I'm a little tied to her at the moment. But maybe one year I will do it! =)
Pibbernutter. From my early childhood, I could smell them baking at Christmas. Also Kringler. Lots of butter with a little flour to hold the butter and sugar together.
