Okay, she asked for it.
You'd be surprised how many times a week I use the exact words, "As my mom always used to tell me... "
Here are a few of my favorites...
"Drop it! Ehh! Droooop! It!"
"I heard that!"
"Oooooh, Huuuuuney!" (Reserved for sickness or when other kids say mean things... now reserved for when adults say mean things.)
"Do something nice for yourself." (Reserved for crappy days.)
And honorable mention for its one time appearance.... "I'm! So! Pissed!" (Picture this being said by a muppet, and you've got it.)
All jokes aside, my mom is one of my best friends in the world, and I remember the things you said because they were wise... most of them.

The only thing I can vividly remember my mom telling me is "Make sure you always wear clean underwear!" LOL! But, isn't that what all moms say???
How about: "A soft answer turneth away wrath."
"You need to eat something green every day."
"Don't ever learn to clean fish or mow the lawn."--from my mom (and I have never done either).
"Do you have any homework?"
"Don't drink the bath water."
"Quiet, Dad's on call."
"Don't be a smart alec." (what's an alec?)
"Sit on the couch and hold hands."
"Remove yourself." (when you are part of the argument)
Eric and I sat around trying to remember the best ones, and couldn't come up with them, but you remembered the good ones! The funny thing is that I am actually LIVING by those things now! (I swear, I don't drink the bath water...)
