Personal Best
My legs feel a little like noodles, but I feel great. I ran a whole hour today for the first time ever! We took advantage of a glorious So. Cal day and a newly discovered "super secret parking spot" and ran along the shore with Lucy acting as coxswain. Hard to believe that I used to abhor running, especially as an asthmatic. I thank Doug Geringer, who told me "Run as slow as you think possible for as long as you can." So began my personal challenge to run a 5K, which I did only 7 months later. Now I am thinking of a 10K, but there I will stop. There is a reason the original marathoner died when he crossed the finish line. But to end on a cheerful note, here's to getting a personal best after 30! Pass the Cadbury Mini Eggs!

Sweet! Great job!
Dana Point Turkey Trot 10K is eight months away!
True, trot is probably a more accurate description of my "run." However, I'm never in So. Cal for T-giving, so I'm probably out. Maybe there's one up north!
